It’s very usual for humans not to see beyond the horizon of abilities, many people are fond of pointing out the dust in one, which are one’s fault by so doing, one begins to relent in his/her abilities thereby leading to displacement of abilities and in the process of this displacement, the society becomes disabled in growth because it will lack responsible citizens, refined minds and great thinkers but harbour people with lost visions, pessimist and fallen heroes.
So, are you one of those the first step has happened to or is happening to, where people are seeing the dust (Faults) and they are trying to make you displace your abilities or you yourself is trying to displace or has displaced your abilities? Then this piece is for you.
A. What does it mean to displace your abilities?: Displacement as used in this piece means to REPLACE. So displacement of ability means to change or transpose or replace your ability with the “I can’t”, “am a loser” or “impossible” phrase which gives birth to the things a disabled society harbours. It can also be a situation when you abandon what you were you born to do for less significant things, displacement of ability goes a long way ruining a person’s life or the society. The moment you replace your abilities with those phrases listed above, , you have thrown away something very valuable in your life because your abilities are your gold.
B. What is that gold in your dust? This question subdivides into two other questions which are:
- What’s the relationship between gold and dust? Practically, it is a well known fact that before you get gold, it is dug up from the soil, likewise before you can get the gold inside of you, you have to dig through your dust (faults, present self, present thoughts and present mentality), Habu Dawaki said “Dust is worthless but gold has great values. Man was created out of dust but gold can be mined out of him”. Now gold and dust relates such that, our gold lies underneath our dust and without knowing your dust, you can’t get your gold from it.
- What is your gold/what does gold refer to in this piece? Gold points out something precious, that has high value and is used to produce other important things and is virtually wanted by many, in the same way, gold in this piece refers to your abilities, potentials and your uniqueness that makes you precious and have high value as an individual, your gold is anything that defines your being.
C. How to mine out gold from yourself? (Part B next week)
