You’ve probably done something or you’re doing something valuable, something worth your time but the end was poor or it seem to be very vague with little or no success
You followed your list accurately, you played your strategies well, you even went extra miles seeking the help of others but the end of it all was just a waste of time, energy, resources, you never expected the end to be so awful. But did you check your reasons, did you follow and had your motives in mind? Yes! Did you check and understood your motives before carrying on with your plan?.
This piece is just to help you know how your motives affect your plans, how to be sure you’ve got the right motives and how you can stand by your motives.
* HOW YOUR MOTIVES AFFECT YOUR PLANS.
Everyone one of us all know what motives mean – the pushing force, driving force, or reason for something. Before you even thing of your plan, strategize and effect your plan you must have had a reason. Your reasons affect your plan either positively or negatively.
Your motives can affect your plan negatively if:
* Your motives is based on peripherals
* Your motives only satisfy the want of others
* Your insight on your motive is shallow
And your motives affect your plan positively if:
* Your motives are built on your point of need
* Your motives proves enthusiasm
* You choose to stand by your motives not deviating from it no matter how long it might take or how rough the road can be until you have accomplished your motive for something.
* HOW TO BE SURE YOU’VE GOT THE RIGHT MOTIVES
To be sure you’ve got the right motives is as simple as abc, you just have to ponder on the motives you have over and over, prune out the less relevant ones, make sure they are positive ones, seek advice on your motives and have a foresight on what your motives can result into. For instance, when I wanted to start my blog, I had lots of motives but I later came to see one as important which is to just make people know about ideas, facts and motivation and this is what birthed “Enlightenment”. So how did I know this was a right motive? I knew this was a right motive because it’s the most relevant, important and the only one standing after lots of thoughts and prunings.
* HOW CAN YOU STAND BY YOUR MOTIVES
The only way to keep and stand by your motives is to love your reasons for doing something and love that thing you’re doing, if your motive for learning is to acquire more knowledge and get new ideas and not for learning sake or to satisfy others want, you’ll never get fed up of learning because you’ll keep on loving the way you are imparted with knowledge on a daily basis. If you love the motive behind your career you’d do anything to help that’s career. To the extent you love your motive is to the extent you’ll stand by it.
To close the pages, remember that your motives shouldn’t be based on peripherals, your insights on your motives shouldn’t be shallow and it shouldn’t occasionally satisfy the want of others rather, it should be built on your point of need, it should prove your enthusiasm for something and you should be able to stand by it. Make sure you review and check your motives well before carrying on with your plan and always love what you do no matter what. Don’t be a victim of a regretted end due to wrong motives.
